Response to the Privacy Issue and 'Popular' Teachers

It really is crazy how we have to watch ourselves out in public. I was at a bowling alley in Lafayette during the summer... was thinking about going to get an alcoholic beverage with my friend... and who walks in but one of my former students from my practicum last semester! Oops, glad I didn't go for the drink! Whether I should have been or not, I would have been really embarrassed!

Also, some people have been mentioning about how the media really builds up teachers and I think it was in seminar that we talked about how 'great' cooperating teachers seem to leave high expectations of us with the kids. I think that is what scares me the most right now. She's a golden apple winner and I've heard WONDERFUL things about my cooperating teacher from other teachers, advisers, and former students of hers. I'm so excited to get the opportunity to work with someone so highly regarded by many different people, but it's also a bit scary/crazy to think about what I could be expected to look up to this semester! Yikes!
